Evaluation questions 5 - 9

5: How did you attract/address your audience?
As i explained earlier the targeted age/audience group would be fifteen years and above. I believe with the use of unique editing techniques such as the letterbox effect and following the conventions of pyschological horror (not reveiling too much gore and horror) i attracted the audience. I also decided to put titles of, '2 weekes before abduction' so the audience of whatever age would be intrigued about how the male character got into his prediciment with organ trafficking. Adding to this i used a limited amount of gore so i wouldn't exclude anyone under eighteen and i would still stay in the fifteen certificate bracket. I believe my film worked in attracting and entertaining my audience as out of fifty people who reviewed my film (14 of them being older than twenty the rest being under) 90% gave the film 9/10 or above.

6: What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
If i was to choose a company to fund my project iwould probably choose a co-production between Film-Four and EM media. Film-Four is known for funding bigger British projects such as Slumdog Millionaire. I would not use this company because of its horror expertise but more so on there capable financial attributes. I would use EM media to help co-fund the project through companys like the National Lottery. Although EM media have not funded many Horror feature films they have funded many horror shorts, for example, 'In The Meadows' directed by Dave Alexander Smith.

7: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
The technologies i used within the making of this project such as the internet, Blogger and I-Movie i was already fluent at using. Garageband on the other hand was a new software and i felt for making soundtracks it was exceptional. It was also especially handy in the use of post-production foley work. I-Movie on the other hand i felt was more of a hinderance as i was used to editing off more complex editing systems such as Avid, Final Cut Pro and Sony Vegas 8.0. A positive for I-movie though was the letterbox effect which i felt made the film seem more professional but a added negetive is the titles system was awful and i had limited movement of where i wanted to place them.

8: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
In the original task i felt that the pace of the editing was slow. I made an extended effort to improve this and i feel in my final project this has shown. If i was going to produce the product again i would make sure that i planned the production earlier and more efficiently. I spent a lot of time planning and although i did not have to reshoot this was still added pressure.

9 What was your contribution the the process during the planning, production and post production stages?

In the planning folder i created the concept and script and later on edited the storyboard. I also found and built the location, alongside setting up the lighting. In the production and post-production part of the project i worked alone and therefore did all the work by myself. The only work i received aid in was with the artificial wound, this was created by Misty-Rose Dunsmore and she was chosen to do this because of her talents in this specific area of work.
